Laura Juntunen is a small-town storyteller with a passion for unraveling the chaos of post-apocalyptic worlds and bending the boundaries of science fiction. Born and raised in the snowy haven of Houghton, Michigan, Laura traded icy winters for sunny adventures at Saint Leo University in Florida, where she earned a business degree in International Tourism and Hospitality Management (though plotting fictional disasters turned out to be her real calling).
By day, Laura manages supplier relationships with precision and expertise. But when the world is still and the morning light creeps in, she dives headfirst into her imagination, weaving stories where survival hangs by a thread and the impossible becomes reality. Her debut trilogy, The Shockwave series, and its gripping companion novella, The Fall, invite readers into a world where resilience meets the unknown.
When she’s not crafting new adventures, Laura lives in southern Indiana with her fiancé, Brian, and their adorable fur-babies, who provide moral support (and the occasional distraction). She’s currently hard at work on her next science fiction series, Crimson Files, while secretly dreaming of the day her writing career launches her into full-time author mode.
If you’re ready for pulse-pounding action, morally complex characters, and unexpected twists, Laura’s stories are calling your name.
