The Crimson Files Have Opened. Are You Ready?

I’m thrilled to share a major update from my writing desk: Doppelganger—Book One in my brand-new sci-fi series Crimson Files—is officially written, edited, and currently in the hands of my trusted beta reader. Final touches are coming later this month, and I can already feel the excitement building.

Here’s the kicker: Doppelganger is the book I’m submitting with my application for this year’s Louisville Book Festival in the fall. Fingers crossed the selection committee loves it as much as I do 🤞

🔬 What is Doppelganger?

It’s a mind-bending sci-fi thriller where identity fractures, reality unravels, and one mistake tears open the fabric of the known world.

This standalone novel kicks off Crimson Files, a new series where each book and novella can be read on its own, in any order. But if you do read them all, you’ll notice threads—small clues and recurring characters—that link the stories across timelines and alternate dimensions.

At the center of it all is Dr. Ray Crimson: brilliant, bold, and perhaps a little too obsessed with finding new worlds. Every book in this series explores the fallout of his experiments—and the people who get caught in the ripple.

🧪 The Crimson Files So Far...

Alongside Doppelganger, I’ve finished two novellas that deepen the universe:

  • đźź  Apple: A haunting companion story that uncovers a moment of experimentation from Doppelganger. The implications are chilling—and might just rewrite what you thought you knew about reality.

  • đź”´ Blood Trial: A prequel novella to my next full-length novel, Mimic, which I’m currently drafting and plan to publish later this year. Blood Trial sets the stakes, the science, and the danger that will explode in Mimic.

I’ve mapped out nine total books in this standalone-yet-interconnected series. Yes—nine.

That includes Doppelganger, Mimic, Apple, Blood Trial, and five more books that are already brimming with plot twists, dimensional rifts, and more Crimson chaos.

You’ll start to see subtle connections between them as early as Doppelganger—hidden clues, cameo appearances, and echoes from future books I can’t wait for you to discover.

My goal? Publish all nine by the end of 2026. It’s a big goal, but the world of Crimson Files has taken root in my imagination—and there’s no stopping it now.
