Event Recap: Through the Looking Glass

Event Recap: Through the Looking Glass

On a warm and breezy August [9th] day, I had the honor of being one of only four featured authors at the Through the Looking Glass Music Festival in Columbus, Indiana! This music festival features performers, vendors, authors, and artists who all come together to provide a fun and entertaining day of shopping, mingling, and music!

Every year, the event is held at The Wildflower - a beautiful, middle-of-no-where venue featuring a large field surrounded by woodland. The vibe wraps together with the cozy barns sprinkling the property. It is a great event venue and I hear you can rent it out for private events too!

My personal recap of the event:

  • I handed out 50+ QR codes to download one of my books for free,
  • I featured The Shockwave series, but also had the opportunity to bring along copies of Doppelganger and Apple for the first time ever,
  • I had friends and co-workers attend to support not only me, but also the other vendors on-site, and ...
  • I sold 15 books!

This sales count is average compared to other events I've participated in this year, but honestly, I would've been happy selling only ONE book at this event! The atmosphere was electric and exciting. I made new connections and did some shopping. And I was able to listen to the music from a comfy chair beneath the shade of a massive tree. I definitely won just by being present.

The 4th Annual Through the Looking Glass Music Festival has a date confirmed: September 5, 2026

But let's not wait until next year ... I would love for you to come visit me at Lores Untold 1 Year Celebration on September 28, 2025! It's located in North Vernon, Indiana and is another great outdoor location. I hope to see you there!
